Yoav Eshed is an award-winning guitarist and composer based in Brooklyn, NY. Yoav started to play the piano at the age of 3 and displayed prodigious abilities playing Haydn, Bach and Mendelssohn. He picked up the guitar at the age of 13 and found his unique way to play the guitar with a pianist approach. Since then he has been performing around the world with top jazz musicians. He has annually received the America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarships for Jazz since 2008. Received scholarships from the ‘NY New School for Jazz’ and won the ‘Prestigious Dean Award’ from Berklee as well as the ​Guitar Achievement Award from for an outstanding musicianship. Winner of ​Lee Ritenour jazz competition ‘​Six String Theory’, winner of the annual jazz competition ‘T​he Jazz Player’​ and prize winner of the ​Montreux Jazz Festival ​Guitar Competition in Switzerland, Won Best Solo Instrumental prize of ‘Made in New York’ jazz international competition.
